Freelance SEO Content Strategy + Editorial Execution
I partnered directly with Rosebud CBD’s founder and CEO to identify high-opportunity SEO topics that aligned with both brand goals and audience interest. My role included keyword research, topic pitching, content writing, publishing, and ongoing performance tracking to help refine the editorial strategy over time.
One of the strongest outcomes from this work was an article I wrote titled “CBD and Sex,” which reached #1 in organic search results for its target query. The success of that piece came from pairing strong search demand with relatively low competition and a topic that was highly relevant to the brand’s customer base.
This project reflects the way I approach content strategy: uncovering search-driven opportunities, translating them into clear and compelling editorial concepts, and using performance data to improve results over time.
Challenge
Rosebud CBD had an opportunity to grow organic visibility through educational content, but needed a more strategic approach to identifying topics that could realistically rank while still feeling aligned with the brand.
APPROACH
I researched high-search, low-competition keyword opportunities, pitched content ideas directly to the CEO, wrote and published articles, and tracked performance to understand what was resonating and where the strategy could be refined.
OUTCOME
One article, “CBD and Sex,” reached #1 in organic search results, demonstrating the impact of pairing smart keyword strategy with audience-first storytelling.
